Soaked fenugreek (methi) seed water
Fenugreek seeds are rich in soluble fibre and have long been part of traditional diets for people watching their blood sugar. This is a supportive food habit only — it is not a treatment for diabetes.

Important: this remedy is only a supportive home measure. Keep taking any medicine your doctor has prescribed, monitor your readings, and consult your doctor before adding anything new.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
- 1 glass water
How to prepare
- Soak the fenugreek seeds in the water overnight.
How to use
- In the morning, drink the water and chew the softened seeds, or add the seeds to your dal or sabzi.
- Keep a log of your sugar readings and share it with your doctor.
Precautions
- Keep taking your prescribed diabetes medicine. Never reduce or stop it on your own.
- Fenugreek may add to the effect of diabetes medicine and cause low sugar — check your readings and talk to your doctor before starting.
- Avoid medicinal amounts during pregnancy. It may cause gas or loose stools, and interact with blood thinners.
